After finally escaping the evil God long ago, they made a secret life concealed among humanity in Earth Realm. There, Tasha has spent her nights watching the mortals at her club engage in erotic scenes that leave her aching… desperately longing for someone with the power to dominate her, to provide the pleasure she craves. For her own safety she knows she’s destined to live her life in the shadows, but when she sees a male who sparks an insatiable hunger she is unable to remain hidden.
A Powerful Guardian Restrained.
Bastian and his fellow Guardians have spent the last month in a fruitless search for Apollo. They know that something dangerous is on the horizon and it is imperative they lock away the corrupt God immediately. After recently witnessing a number of his brethren find their fated mates, Bastian never considered that he would also be blessed. But when the calm and controlled Guardian sees his alluring and seductive female he learns just how wild and consuming the mating frenzy can be. However, his mate is incredibly powerful and at risk of being caged by his own brothers if he doesn’t do everything, including lie, to protect her.
Immovable Object, Meet Irresistible Force.
It’s a battle that both will win if they can survive the deadly forces, both friend and foe, that surround them.
Warning: This novel is intended for a mature audience. You will find kick-ass females, explicit sex, voyeurism and alpha males with bad language.
…I need fuck you so hard you won’t be able to take a step without knowing you’re mine.
I swear to all things holy, if my ovaries haven’t cumbusted by the 3rd book in this series, surely they’re steel plated right now. Because this book? I can’t even with how hot it was. No seriously. There’s hot, and then there’s Setta Jay Guardians hot. It’s a category all of it’s own and ovary survival is not guaranteed. As a matter of fact, say goodbye to those bitches right now because no way can they make it through this book.
But let’s be real here for a moment; I may be a pervert but I’m a pervert with standards. I want a great story to go with my book porn and this has it in spades. If anything, each book in this series continues to be better than the last. They’re my crack of choice and I’m not planning on rehab anytime soon.
Meet Bastian…
Guardian, badass and sporting some enviable hair. Along with his fellow Guardian brothers, he’s been on the hunt for Apollo who has been recently been released from his stasis prison and wreaking havoc in the earth realm. They’re determined to bring him down and also find the answers about how to deal with Drake’s mate who seems to be pained at his mere presence. Those questions lead them to a club…
Meet Natasha
Natasha used to be Apolo’s secret weapon until she escaped his prison along with her twin sister and has been hiding out in the earth realm ever since. But when a sinfully sexy Guardian steps foot in her club, she doesn’t understand her instant carnal reaction to him. Being in the earth realm for as long as she has, she has no idea about matings or Tetartos. But what she does know is her hunger for a long haired guardian seems to only get hotter with each encounter.
What I love about these books is how flawlessly Setta manages to write two parallel story lines. You get Tasha and Bastian, you also get her twin sister Nastia and the phoenix Guardian Sander. Along the way you also get a tantalizing peek at Drake and his mate. But the two main stories are Natasha and Nastia. It’s more like 70/30, but it just works. What’s even better, is that the secondary romance is even more tantalizing than the main one. They typically stretch over two books and manage to keep the reader panting for the next book for the conclusion of the story, which is exactly where I’m at right now. I loved this spicy little number and can’t wait for more. If you haven’t discovered this series yet, you’re seriously missing out. Fair warning though, if you don’t have a significant other on hand as you’re reading side-effects may incur…

…I need fuck you so hard you won’t be able to take a step without knowing you’re mine.

The BDB series is sentimental for me. It’s the series that got me into reading in the first place. It began what was to become what I refer to as my PNR binge of 2009. I was obsessed with that series…until I hit book 6. Then it slowly but surely began to lose some of its luster for me. By book 11 I had given up. It became too muddied with too many secondary POVs that the romance began to wane in the background. I missed the original brothers, the romance, the true BDB, true? So when I heard that JR Ward plans to come out with a new series that will be back to what the first few BDB books started off as with the original brothers; Wrath, Z, Butch, V, Rhage? Well, let’s just say I knew I’d part with an ovary to get my grubby little hands on it.
Blood Kiss follows two couple story lines; Butch and Marissa and Paradise and Craeg. I’d estimate it to be about 60/40 with no additional POVs to be found. Just the four. I’ll give you a moment to contain your shock…

You know what I love about this series? The fact that sixteen books into it, each book continues to be just as good if not even better than the last. Kresley Cole continuously delivers with badass, sassy and snarky heroines, and tortured and oh so sexy heroes. That’s not to mention the addicting story line that’s guaranteed to keep you reading well into the night. Truth be told I was hoping to see a certain lykae twin finally be getting his book and I was a little thrown when I saw the character names in the synopsis and had not the slightest idea who they were. As a die hard IAD fan, even my puny brain memory manages to hold on to every detail of this series. I was a little afraid that the book may be filler, in order to really stretch out the fans’ want of the previously introduced characters. I should have never doubted the genius that is this author, however. And once you read the book, you’ll see exactly why. Kresley stays true to her characters’ world and everything that’s going on around them, and the story of Josephine and Rune is yet another puzzle piece that builds up to a larger picture. But let’s move onto the actual book here, shall we?
As an avid lover of the manwhores, I’ve read my fair share. And I can easily say that Rune the Baneblood is quite possibly the biggest manwhore I’ve read to date. Rune is a powerful warrior, half dark fey and half demon. His blood is as poisonous as his kiss, which is how he’s come to be the deadliest assassin for the Møriør. He’ll seduce the secrets out of his enemies, only to kill them in the blink of an eye soon after. He’s as skilled with his cock as he is with his bow and arrow. His past has ensured that his heart is as cold as the rest of him and not even a romp in the bed with a nymph so much as spikes his blood pressure…until a mysterious beauty turns his world on it’s axis…
Kresley Cole has a signature formula that she doesn’t waver from and I can’t get enough of. Her heroines are sassy and snarky as hell. I absolutely love it! Josephine may be young, but what she lacks for in years she more than makes up for in sass. And she definitely gives Rune the Insatiable a run for his money. Rune is as tortured as they come, and as more of his history comes to light, you begin to understand more and more about why he is the way he is. The chemistry between them is absolutely undeniable. If possible, I swear this series just gets hotter with each new book. And Sweet Ruin was practically scorching!

Ella Frank is a chameleon of genres. The woman is a damn genius is what she is. Whether it be contemporary, MM, Urban Fantasy, and now PNR, it seems like she really cannot do any wrong. I had no idea what to expect when I picked this book up, but I knew two things for sure:
Truth be told, I’m always hesitant with the first book in a PNR series because almost always it will suffer what I refer to as a case of the firsts. What I mean is, between the introduction of all the characters, the world building, and everything in between, I often find myself taking a while to get into the story and wrap my mind around everything. I was beyond thrilled and not a little surprised that that wasn’t the case here. I was sucked into the book immediately. The character development, the rich world building, the unbelievably sizzling sexual tension is what made this book the unputdownable read that it was.
Alasdair is a first sired; one of the most powerful vampires in existence second only to his sire; Vasilios. Ruthless, unapologetic, and with a magnetic sexual appeal there’s not much in life that Alasdair doesn’t have. His face has lured plenty a human to their death while experiencing a pleasure unlike any they’ve ever experienced. But he’s also a vampire of particular tastes. Being alive for centuries has ensured that not just anyone experiences the pleasure of receiving his carnal attentions. But then one human changes everything…

Spiral of Need is the spin off series from Suzanne Wright’s Phoenix Pack series. And while it’s book 1 in this new series, I’d highly recommend starting with Phoenix Pack first because there’s a lot of interconnecting characters and readers coming into this without having read the other series first may find themselves lost. Although there is plenty of background given on the story, reading Phoenix Pack first will simply give a much needed background on certain situations in the story and the characters that take place here.

They may not know each other, but that would change. Soon. She was his. That may scare the shit out of her, but not him. The minute she touched him their fate was sealed.

Love, itself, is a beast that can make a man crazy with lust and insane with jealousy.
Gavin is the oldest brother, and the one I’ve been incredibly curious about since the very beginning. While he seems to be the most balanced of the the Wrath brothers, he still obviously battles demons of his own (pun intended). After the events from book two and the trickery of a certain woman, he finds himself sentenced to the worst kind of torture in Obsidian…for the second time in his life. Worst of all, his sentence is for a crime he had no idea he was committing, but this is one sentence that just may result in his death…
Sabelle is a succubus unlike any of her kind; she hasn’t taken a soul in her entire existence. She’s a loving mother, a caring sister, and a hard worker that soon finds herself stuck between a rock and a hard place. Or in other words stuck between her what she’s forced to do as a succubus and what she truly yearns for; freedom. When she sees a dangerous opportunity that just may give her the answer that she seeks, she’s forced to call in her marker. When she saved Logan’s life at the request of Gavin, she also gets to call a marker of her choosing at the time that she needs. And there’s no better favor to be owed than one from a Wrath demon.
