So, apparently I’ve been sleeping on Dani René. How is this the first book I read of hers? I have no idea but I need more. As we all know, I have a thing for mafia romance. Now this being a dark mafia romance, there is definitely some pretty graphic violence. And truth be told, some of the scenes…I was uncomfy. Dani doesn’t spare any details. Enzo is oozing unleashed violence and when he does unleash it on his enemies, well, let’s just say it’s not pretty.

I loved the ying and yang between him and Luna. He’s determined to keep her at arm’s length and she’s determined to get under his skin. I loved how fierce this woman was. She doesn’t shy away from the violence and she isn’t afraid to stand up to this man whose mere name instill fear into men. I loved the slow burn. And when they finally give into the inevitable? GAH! I was in praise kink, dominant heaven.

If you’re looking for a super dark mafia romance with a ruthless anti hero and a fierce heroine, this one will definitely do it for you.
