…Rebel doesn’t exists anymore. There is only madness and fury, held together with the burning acid of revenge. It’s eaten away at everything else until there’s nothing left.

Having read Rebel a little over eight months ago, I’ll be honest and say that I remember fuck all from that book. No joke. Gun to my head, I couldn’t call up the slightest detail. Partly because I have the memory of a 90 year old, and partly because after a certain amount of waiting for a book to be released I begin to lose interest and emptying my brain of those details. Yes, yes, I know what you’re thinking. So then why did you read this? Well, my judgy friend, because it’s Callie fucking Hart. And if anyone can have me still panting for every release, it’d be her. And while I went into this book remembering barely anything, it took literary no time at all before I was thick in the middle of everything and recalling every detail. So I guess what I’m saying here, is don’t worry if you forgot details, because the author does a fantastic job catching the reader up without being even a tiny bit redundant. Kudos to that.

My soul is already dammed to hell. I might as well REALLY earn my place there.

The book starts with a flashback to Rebel in his life as Jamie. When he was a high society, son of an asshole millionaire businessman who could give a shit if he had a son. It really gives you that peek inside his mind to what started the chain of events that led Jamie to become Rebel. And let me tell you, it clicks so many things in place once you get that.

Then it takes you into the middle of the war that’s currently going on between the Widow Makers and Hector Ramirez. Rebel tries his hardest to protect Sophia while his club and everything he stands for could be burned down in a blaze of blood and fire by the hands of a sadistic enemy. The story brings you into the midst of the MC and gives you all those gritty, bloody little details to begin driving the story to what’s bound to be one hell of a conclusion in the third book.

And in the middle of all of this, you have Sophia. Taken, sold, bought, and kept as almost a prisoner, Sophia is now slowly beginning to come to terms of what her life is. She’s struggling with her feelings for Rebel and what this will mean for her future. But while she’s fighting an internal battle with her mind and heart, Rebel is very happy to put everything he has out on the open. And he’s certainly not afraid to fight dirty to get what he wants…

I’ll make you feel like you were sleeping before, like you have no idea how you lived such a placid, quiet existence without me.

Rogue-DGR teaserThis was a super fast read and not because it was short. It was super quick paced. Action packed, bloody, gritty, and incredibly sexy. Callie finally gives us that dark side that Rebel was hiding in the previous book. He let’s that side of himself really come out and play and it’s sure to set ovaries fluttering everywhere because holy mother of hotness!
There’s a lot that happens in Rogue and yet you’re still left with more questions than answers. I also appreciate the way that the author ends it because while it leaves you craving the next book desperately it’s not an ending that will make you stabby. (view spoiler). While after that long wait I would have liked a little more, I was still left highly satisfied. It gave just enough to keep my interest and guarantee I’m desperate for the next book and never felt like it was needlessly stretched out or filler. Hopefully we won’t have to wait another 8 months for the conclusion because I’m pretty sure I’d go nuts in that time. I need answers, dammit!

I’m gonna turn her whole world on it’s head, and it is going to be so goddamn perfect.

 “When he lunges for me, I’m ready. I deflect the hand he was going to grab me with, slapping it downward, and then I grab onto his wrist, pulling him off balance. He seesaws forward but then rips his wrist out of my hand. I don’t expect him to turn his slight fumble to his own advantage, but he does. Dropping to the floor, he rolls and kicks out, landing a solid strike to my leg. I have less than a second to brace myself before I’m hitting the concrete.
Then he’s on top of me. “Oh, this is fun, sweetheart. But I don’t really have time to be playing games with you right now.”

What happens when the genius minds of Lili Saint Germain and Callie Hart combine? This entertaining as fuck book. These ladies are on my auto buy list with their individual work, but as a team? They’re an absolute powerhouse. I have loved both Blood & Roses and the Gypsy Brothers series. But when these two worlds collide? It’s sure to be one epic fucking ride.

Before I get to my review, allow me to address a few key points if you’re planning on reading this book…
1. If you have not read the Gypsy Brothers series, this book does have several plot spoilers from it that may be lost on you.

2. If you have not read the Blood & Roses series, this book does have several plot spoilers that may also be lost on you.

3. If you haven’t read BOTH of those series, there are quite a few crossovers and plot intricacies that may also be lost on you.
Essentially, what I’m trying to tell you here is that you would enjoy this series a hell of a lot more if you read those 2 series first. While you wouldn’t necessarily be lost, you just wouldn’t have quite as much appreciation for the characters or their connecting stories if you haven’t read them yet.

Hell’s Kitchen has quite a few POVs packed into a little over 100 pages. Where usually I’d find that to be way too much and convoluted, the fact that the authors not only made it work here but it actually added to the story is certainly no small feat. EVERY single POV added something into the story and allowed to tie into the next one. It was so intricately woven together that I never once found myself confused or annoyed but simply enjoying the ride. So who are the key players in Hell’s Kitchen? Let’s do a roll call…

The Barbiery brothers The sons to the current Italian mafioso of New York, Roberto. Roberto is a cold hearted and ruthless kingpin that spares no one in his gain for power and vengeance, not even his sons. When his Irish enemy does him wrong, what best way to get revenge than to kidnap his daughter, Kaitlin, and to charge his two sons with it.

Kaitlin McLaughlin has a very short POV that gives the reader just enough insight into her vapidness and better understanding of her character. This is definitely no 17 year old girl you’ll find yourself sympathizing with. She’s one spoiled and vicious little bitch.

Gracie; Kaitlin’s bodyguard and all around bad bitch. Now you know I love me a snarky and kick-ass heroine, and Gracie was that and so much more. She was taken into the McLaughlin fold at an early age and feels a bond with Kaitlin’s father even though babysitting his spoiled little princess is not what she wants to be wasting her time on. The last thing she expects is to be caught in a chase with the sons of their Italian enemy.

Scarlett Winchester (Oh and I see what you did with her last name there, you clever girls. I love that!) Is a down on her luck actress that is currently attempting to put together the tatters of her previous life. Lost in a constant haze of drugs and alcohol if only to drown out the demons of the past and a mistake from 9 months ago that cost her everything.

In short, the woman is one hot mess. But while she may be broken, she still has a mouth on her and she can use snark as her weapon of choice, which definitely made for some awesome banter.

Zeth motherfucking Mayfair. Does the man even need an introduction. Zeth is trying to move on with his life together with Sloane. While he will never exactly live on the straight and narrow, he certainly has no desires to answer to anyone else now that he is no longer under the thumb of Charlie, his past ’employer’. Too bad that Roberto wants to take over Charlie’s old territory, and he’s very aware of Zeth’s reputation and has no issues trying to get him back into the fold…and when a proposition doesn’t do, a threat will suffice.

Jason Ross. Dealing with the fallout of what happened with his father and the MC, Jason and Juliette are on the run from the Columbian Cartel. Their current hiding place? Non other that New York. And you just KNOW that when all these worlds combine, it’s going to be one hell of a ride. There’s also the mention of Elliot, though he never has a POV here…at least not yet.

So there you have it, the seven key players of Hell’s Kitchen, though I would say that the Barbiery brothers, Scarlett and Gracie are the main focus. I absolutely loved how the authors managed to tie together all of these POVs into one intricately woven story. If you’re looking for the grit of GB, you won’t find that here, but it doesn’t really advertise to be that. What it is, is an entertaining, humorous, action-packed and thrilling ride that combines the worlds of B&R and GB along with some new players to give you another addicting series. I read this in one sitting, completely incapable of setting it down for even a second. I’m already practically salivating for the next installment and can’t wait to see what happens next with all these characters.

“You gonna sit down or what?”I sit down. Arguing with him would be futile. We sit there, side by side, staring off down the arrow-straight road, and for a moment I don’t hate him. He pulls a cell phone out of his pocket and taps something into it, and then he turns to face me, frowning slightly.

“You believe in vengeance?”

“You mean like revenge?”

He shakes his head. “Revenge is a selfish act. Retaliation for something. Vengeance is a different thing altogether. It’s about obtaining justice, usually for someone who can’t claim it for themselves.”

This is an odd line of questioning but I decide I’ll bite. Maybe I wouldn’t if he were being a jerk like he was a couple of hours ago, but that’s not what’s happening. He’s pensive, the live wire that apparently runs through him dulled for the moment. “I don’t know,” I say. “Probably, in that case.”

“What if I simplified the question?

What if I say, do you believe in justice?

“Then, yes, I do believe.”

Ever since I finished Burn, I have been practically salivating to get my hands on Rebel and Sophia’s story. After the tiny peak that we get in the Blood & Roses series, you already knew that this was going to be something amazingly good. And if you haven’t yet read the Blood & Roses series, don’t worry, because you can easily start with this book first.

One night where she’s in the wrong place and an even worse time, Alexis Romera’s life as she knows it comes to a screeching stop. She witnesses something that she’s not supposed to see and becomes a liability to men that you don’t even want knowing you exist. Taken. Sold. She is no longer Alexis but Sophia. Fearful for her family’s lives she keeps her true identity a secret while she fights to escape the clutches of men that wouldn’t think twice before slitting her throat.

I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about Sophia after learning some of the things that I learned about her in the B&R series. But being inside her head definitely fixed that. Even though she’s young, this is one tough bitch. And luckily for me, her age never leads to any TSTL decisions which is so often the case. Callie Hart did a phenomenal job in giving the readers a heroine that while has her vulnerability and fear very much present, she still manages to maintain a backbone without being too obvious about it.

Now what can I tell you about Rebel? This was definitely a character that was not at all what I had expected him to be. He was more. So much more. This is no everyday anti-hero. While he is definitely still that, he also has so much depth to him.

I appreciated the fact that the author didn’t simply pain him in black and white. If ever there was a character that was very firmly in the gray area, Rebel is that. While he has his bad he also has a lot of hidden good which you get to see unravel piece by piece throughout the book.

I also appreciated the fact that there was no insta-lust to be found here. The relationship development between Sophia and Rebel is very realistic in the fact that it’s a slow build. I simply couldn’t imagine it any other way. While Sophia is certainly attracted to him right away, she’s also as equally untrusting of him. There was this delicious undercurrent of sexual tension throughout all their interactions that makes for some extremely interesting reading.

You think you use your brain when you’re having sex?”
“Oh, Sophia. I use my brain. Every time I sleep with a woman, I’m using my head to figure out what she likes. How she likes it. What I can do to have her screaming my name until her throat’s raw.”

I loved that the author didn’t throw these characters together right away. You truly get to experience Sophia’s struggle with her circumstances and her attraction to her unlikely “captor”.

…I get the feeling sex with Rebel really would be criminal.

This is a continuing story arc that will have 2 additional parts, so it does end on a cliffhanger. However as interesting as the cliffy was, it wasn’t that bad because it’s more of a plot cliffy than a relationship one. If you were a fan of the Blood and Roses series, then this book is a must read. And if you haven’t yet discovered this fantastic author, there’s no better book to start with than this one. I can’t wait to see where Sophia and Rebel’s story will lead to next. All I can say is that the set up sounds absolutely delicious.

I can’t look away, though. I could close my eyes, but there’s something in the way he’s staring at me, so intense and focused, as though I’m the only thing he sees or cares about in this moment. I already know, deep down in my bones, that being looked at like that by him will be an addiction I won’t be able to shake.

5 Zeth Addict Stars

I’m not sure if you’ve gotten the subtle hints I’ve been dropping lately about just how addicted I am to this series. Every book I read I think, it can’t possibly get any better. But then it not only does, it just blows me away. The way that Callie Hart has taken all these secrets and twists and weaved them together that slowly trickle feeds you the information chapter by chapter, book by addicting book, is absolutely fucking brilliant.

Zeth just continues to punch his way straight into my heart. I can’t get enough of the man. This perfectly imperfect, volatile, violent, utterly fucked up man.

But the weaker side to this man, who seems so indestructible, is the reason why I’ve felt myself tumbling, falling, sliding down some frightening, unnameable slope.

For two years Sloane’s one focus has been to find her sister. She’s done things that she never imagined she’d do to reach those ends. She’s made choices that have irrevocably changed her life and it will never be the same again. She never expected the truth of where Alexis has been all this time and dealing with the fallout of it all is not something she things she can handle. She just wants to go back to her life. To the time where things were simple and uncomplicated. But the one thing that happened in that time, the one man that she should leave behind, she just can’t.

Zeth doesn’t like complications, he fixes his problems with his fists, but his life is nothing but complications. The complication of a woman that’s better off without him that he can’t ever let go; the complication of his boss thats out for blood; and the complication of what those two things mean together.

Fallen, like all the other books in this series, was an action packed and thrilling page turner. Sexy, addicting, this series has very quickly become one of my favorites and Zeth, my favorite anti-hero. These are books you will read in one sitting and a series you’ll binge one. Trust me, I’ve been in the world of Blood & Roses for over a week now and I’m sad to see it almost come to an end. But oh man, I cannot wait to see how everything comes together.

I told you once this could be a fairy tale if you let it. And I told you the part I’d play in that fairy tale…

This. Fucking. Series. I can’t even right now. I just can’t. Can we just talk about that ending for a second? Because for the love of fucking FUCK, I need Rebel’s book like yesterday! Gah!

What a twisted and fucked up ride this continues to be. And I just can’t get enough of it.

Just when I think that I figured something out and I know where it’s headed….BAM! Cliffhanger. I’m convinced Callie Hart is just toying with us while she sits back in her writer’s chair devising even more madness while practicing her evil laugh.

But I suppose you want to know more about the actual book than my sleep deprived ramblings, right? Fine then.

When Sloane ran to Zeth for protection when Charlie’s men broke into her house for Lacey in the middle of the night, she didn’t know she’d be running straight into another devil. Now stuck in Julio’s mansion, with Zeth’s man, Michael, being interrogated, more and more suspicion continues to fall on Zeth. And Sloane is now stuck in the middle. With no choice but to attempt and pass her off as his latest piece of ass, Zeth is doing his best to protect her. But Sloane’s backbone sometimes lets her mouth run ahead of her brain.

I’m afraid you seem to be confusing the dynamic of the relationship I share with Zeth, Mr Perez. I’m not the one on my knees begging for snippets of his affection. It’s entirely the other way around.”

Of course it wouldn’t be a book with these two if they weren’t still going at it like bunnies at every turn. But hey, you won’t find this bitch complaining because it’s always just that perfect spice to the mix. Zeth is an animal and I don’t think I’ll ever have enough of him. The man is just utterly delicious.

In the midst of trying to figure out the web of lies around Charlie, Zeth also has to focus on protecting Sloane. And while Sloane fights what they seem to be developing between each other, Zeth is beginning to understand that he may be getting more than he bargained her and feelings are starting to get the best of him. Not that he’s willing to let Sloane in on that

All of Sloane’s searching for her missing sister leads up to the big reveal in this book when she finally comes face to face with Alexis. But she’s in for the shock of a lifetime when she discovers just where she’s been all this time…and with who.

I’m seriously in lust with this series. I don’t know if I ever want it to end. Callie Hart takes a dark & sexy romance and weaves it together seamlessly with non stop action and so many twists and turns, it’ll make your head spin. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off for another late night with a binge read of Fallen.

If it wasn’t clear from my review of Deviant, I’m seriously hooked on this series. I knew that Deviant was going to be the start of a dark and twisted ride, and fuck was I right.

Zeth never wanted to believe that his employer, no matter how corrupt he is, would have something to do with the disappearance of Sloane’s sister or the flesh trade. But when an assignment that he gets sent on by him proves just that and so much more, he’s thrown for a loop. Not only does it looks like he’s been lying to him about all his ‘businesses’, but it looks like he may have also betrayed Zeth in the worst of ways those few years ago when he served time in Chino. A way that Zeth never thought he would. And now he’s determined to find out the truth. Determined to protect Sloane and Lacey at all costs, he leaves Lacey on Sloane’s doorstep with his men watching them and takes off to find his answers.

Sloane still can’t believe just how deep she’s fallen into Zeth’s web. Babysitting Lacey shouldn’t be too tough, even considering her fragile mental state. But when two men break into her house in the middle of the night to kidnap Lacey, she has no choice but to run straight to the man that she knows will protect her even though he still terrifies her…Better the devil you know.


Let me tell you this: you may think you have been horny before. You may think you have been ready to beg, to plead, to straight up murder to feel someone inside you, but but until you’ve had this…until Zeth Mayfair is on his knees for you…

Their chemistry, as always, is absolutely undeniable. These two seriously burn up the sheets together. I can’t get enough of Zeth’s intensity. The man’s tastes definitely run on the darker side, but on man is it delicious.


You should know better by now, Sloane. You’re an angry girl, yeah, but I’m an angry boy, too. And if you plan on doling out punishment, you’d better be prepared to receive some in return.

Then every now and then you get a peak into a more fragile man inside the tough as hell persona…


You gave yourself to me back at my apartment; I’ve never done it before, but I gave myself in return. I may not have wanted to, Sloane, but I didn’t have a fucking choice in the matter. That means we belong to each other now.

Though I’m still trying to figure out what it is that he has against kissing.

I devoured this book in one sitting. Between all the action and plot twists, I couldn’t seem to stop reading. For every thing that gets answered, you get a million more questions. What is Zeth’s boss hiding from him? What is the connection that Lacey has to his past? Who is Rebel and what happened to Sloane’s sister? What the hell happened the night that Zeth got arrested for murder?

Through all this, Sloane’s backbone just continues to grow. The woman has one smart mouth on her, and she definitely gives as good as she gets….well…almost anyway…


What the hell are you going for here? You expect me to shed my clothes like Bruce Almighty and jump on that thing, just ’cause you got it out?”

I don’t care how cocky or demanding the man is. Who in their right mind can say no to him?

Now jumping straight into Burn because I need answers dammit!!

Well, shit! Spank my ass and fuck me sideways but I am officially hooked! Where has this series been all my life? I’ve had Deviant on my kindle since I grabbed it as a freebie back in March 2014 (and it’s still free), but I’ve been waiting for the entire series to be out to dive in. I just didn’t have it in me to read another serial piece by painful piece while slowly dying inside from anticipation of the next book releasing. And let me just say I’m glad I waited, because I have a feeling I’ll be binging on this series.

Sloane will do anything to find her missing sister, including walking into a hotel room wearing black lace lingerie and have sex with a total stranger… A stranger that demanding, rough, with a taste for the kinky, and with a gravely voice that’s equal parts terrifying as it is seductive.

But then just a suddenly as he appeared in the room, he’s gone. And since everything took place under the veil of night in the dark, the only memory Sloane has of him is his unforgettable voice and imposing presence. Unfortunately the lead that she was hoping to get from her agreement doesn’t pan out when the person that promised her the answers turns out violently murdered.

Now it’s two years later and Sloane is trying to focus on her job as a resident and to attempt to deal with the fact that she may never learn what happened to her sister.

I’m an expert at distancing myself from pain. If it were an Olympic sport, I’d be a gold medalist.

Until a twist of fate and a chance meeting brings the seductive stranger from two years ago straight into her hospital.

He is my maker. And he’s created a monster.

Zeth Mayfair is set to go down as one of my favorite anti-heroes. Just this small taste of him in this book and I’m already absolutely hooked. This is no good guy. This is a criminal with a taste for violence. A man that likes his sex on the side of rough and kinky. Basically the Holy Grail of anti-heroes for me.

When Zeth makes Sloane a deal to help find her missing sister, she knows that she will willingly agree to any of his demands. The terrifying thing is that she won’t just be agreeing, she craves it.

I’m not fucking anyone but you from here on out, sweetheart.”
“Until you get bored, you mean?”
“Until I get shot and it sticks. Until you pack up all your shit and run from me. But let me just say this, Sloane…Don’t bother running. I’ll only have to come find you.

I don’t want to give you any more than that because this is a short novella, and I don’t want to give too much away. But even though this is a short book, it packs quite a punch. Don’t go into this expecting rainbows and unicorns. This is DARK and I have a feeling it will get even darker. This takes you into the underbelly of the Seattle mob syndicate. It’s a no holds barred and no punches held type of story. It’s violent, a little depraved, and a whole lot addicting.

I’ve seen some people reference to a certain scene in the book and I was curious as to what got this type of response. I can definitely see how it may not be for everyone, but I guess this desensitized pervert didn’t have an issue with it. Considering the title of the book, it made a certain type of sense. Especially seeing as how Sloane willingly gives herself over to Zeth’s demands.

In a 4 words? This. Was. Fucking. Awesome.

Now diving straight into Fracture
