What is it about these two authors together that just hits the spot for me each and every single time? It’s a rare event that I love each book in a trilogy. Usually book two feels like filler or book three feels stretched out or I just lose interest. But this trilogy owned me from beginning to end. I can’t get enough of this world
I’ve been eagerly anticipating the conclusion to Mercedes and Judge’s story, and this final installment didn’t disappoint. It was everything I’d hoped for and more. Judge and Mercedes both have grown so much throughout this series. The evolution of their characters was one of the most satisfying things to read. You watch Mercedes go from a perception of the spoiled, poor little rich girl to a fierce woman with a spine of steel. You watch Judge go from a cold, unaffected man with demons to someone with soft edges he only allows his woman to see. The way he protects her even while he won’t allow himself to have her. Swoon!
The story itself was a page turner that kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. And I swear on all things holy, if Judge’s brother doesn’t get a book, I will riot. RIOT I tell you. We ride at dawn.
